Benefiting the Community
As the windiest country in Europe, the UK is lucky to have abundant
access to this free energy source which is ours to capture.
According to RenewableUK, every unit of electricity produced by a
wind turbine relieves the need to produce one from a conventional
power station.
The UK Government's ambitious target of 15% of the UK's energy
to be generated from renewables by 2020 means that 35-45% of our
electricity will have to come from renewable sources and wind
energy will be a key contributor.
As well as the environmental benefits, West Coast Energy is
committed to undertaking wind energy projects for the benefit of
the community in which they are situated, as well as the wider UK
population.
