By the end of 2010 the town of
Chepstow in South Wales could be home to the UK's largest wind
turbine tower factory. The new facility proposed by Mabey Bridge,
could eventually see 300 towers being produced each year. West
Coast Energy, which is headquartered in Mold, North Wales, welcomes
both the significant gains this project would bring to the nations
renewable commitments and the 240 jobs that will be created for the
local area.
