West Coast Energy has acted as developer and consultant to a
number of major wind farm projects and has developed over 670MW
with a further 700MW either going through planning or with a
planning application being prepared. It has also been an
active participant in various electricity industry forums including
the Transmission Arrangements for Distributed Generation (TADG),
Transmission Access Standing Group (TASG) and the Active Networks
project team of the Distribution Working Group (DWG).
Furthermore, West Coast Energy was also involved in the preparation
of the new ENA connections guide for distributed Generation
Forum.
In response to the DECC Renewable Obligation Banding Review
Consultation, West Coast Energy focuses the majority of its
comments on the impact of the proposed reforms on small scale
distributed generation and in particular onshore wind farms in the
range of 1-100MW.
