Sober Hill Wind Farm Limited, a
subsidiary of West Coast Energy Limited has welcomed the decision
by the Secretary of State for the Department of Communities and
Local Government to grant planning permission for its 6 turbine
wind farm development at Sober Hill Farm in North Newbald, East
Riding of Yorkshire.
Robert Tate, Managing Director of
West Coast Energy said:

Secretary of State has agreed with the Planning Inspector that the
Sober Hill site is an appropriate location for a wind farm. The
scheme will make an important contribution to the national
objective of promoting renewable energy generation and to the UK's
climate change commitments. We are looking forward to working with
the local community and the Council to deliver the economic and
social benefits of the development to the local area."
