Landowners visiting this year's Royal
Highland Show can find out immediately if their property has
potential to site one or more wind turbines, in order to produce
energy to support their existing business through onsite use, or
via sales back into the national grid.
West Coast Energy, with offices in Scotland, England and Wales
is a leading independent onshore wind energy developer. Having
secured planning consent for over 650 MW of wind projects
throughout the UK, it has unrivalled experience in working with
landowners and communities as they join the renewables revolution.
West Coast Energy's projects range from large multi-turbine
installations such as that at Earlsburn in Stirlingshire, which is
now powering over 34,000 homes, to smaller projects that fall under
the feed-in tariff such as the recently
commissioned 3 turbine 2.4 MW Crimp project in Cornwall.
Landowners and Community Groups considering the installation of
turbines could benefit from West Coast Energy's unrivalled
experience in the sector through a number of innovative partnership
solutions. West Coast Energy has the in-house skills to provide a
complete 'one-stop shop' service from planning and finance to
setting up Power Purchase Agreements and shared-benefit community
agreements. Typically, there are no outgoings for landowners or
community groups from beginning to end of the project, yet once it
is operational they will share the benefits with the
developer.
Neil Wyn-Jones, Development Manager of West Coast Energy said;
"There are many factors that go into a good wind energy site and
these vary with the size and scale of the proposed
development. Our experience through the years has allowed us
to develop a bespoke computerised mapping package that quickly
identifies any critical constraints to development. As a
potential partner we can provide an immediate desktop assessment
for project feasibility without obligation"
Landowners and community group representatives are invited to
visit the West Coast Energy stand at this year's Show in the
Renewables area, avenue - 10, stand number - 21, where members of
West Coast Energy's experienced development team will be able to
provide an on the spot indication of project viability.
